North America ski campaign takes off

Destination BC’s 2017-2018 North America ski campaign is targeted towards destination skiers in the Western US and Ontario markets. We seek to motivate high-potential skiers to choose BC this season and to inspire skiers who dream of skiing here to choose BC as their next destination. Destination BC will reach audiences using paid digital tactics such as social media, search, display, video, and native advertisements. All of these tactics will drive traffic to the WinterWithin microsite.

For a second year in a row, Destination BC has partnered with BC-based outdoor clothing brand Arc’teryx. This year the collaboration includes promotion of the Arc’teryx virtual-reality video, Hut Magic (to be released in November), which showcases a ski-touring adventure in Northern BC. Through this partnership, Destination BC has the opportunity to promote BC ski and our brand through a number of different tactics, including Arc’teryx store activations, contesting, remarketing, and media events. 


These branded postcards will be distributed in 17 Arc’teryx stores.

Destination BC will continue our industry tagging initiative for a second year with 13 ski resorts and expand the program with the addition of heli-skiing, cat-skiing, and Nordic operators.
