PURPOSE OF POSITION
As Manager, Brand Engagement, you are responsible for the management, leadership and ongoing evolution of the Super, Natural British Columbia brand, resulting in increased brand resonance and engagement on a global scale.
Well-versed in modern brand strategy, you will offer fresh and impactful ideas to continually push forward the Super, Natural British Columbia brand and its creative expression across all outputs. You’re a creative and innovative thinker, an approach that’s reflected in your past work. You keep an eye on the competition, and seek new opportunities for brand differentiation in a crowded and competitive vertical. You understand how strong and strategic brand positioning can create an emotional connection with consumers, and move them to take action.
You know that the stories other people tell about your brand are as important as the stories your brand tells about itself, and that social media has deeply and permanently impacted the way people interact and build relationships with brands. You are relentlessly consumer-centric, driven to understand the needs, values and motivations of existing brand advocates, travellers who have yet to consider BC, and everyone in between, and apply those insights to the ongoing evolution of our brand.
You’re generous with your knowledge and have demonstrated the ability to lead, develop and empower a high-performing team, including external contractors and agency partners. A natural leader, you will take on a guiding role within the BC tourism network, engaging our industry partners across all regions of the province to increase buy-in and alignment with the brand and its creative expression. Working closely with internal teams and our diverse network of tourism partners, you’ll increase engagement with the Super, Natural British Columbia brand across the province, and globally.
