What does my listing include?
Destination BC has embarked on a new partnership with TripAdvisor which will provide significant advantages for visitors planning their trips on HelloBC.com. Because of this partnership, all business listings on HelloBC.com will now include information pulled from the related TripAdvisor listing. This information will include the following:
up to five images
a map locator
To ensure this information accurately reflects your business' branding and offerings, it is necessary for you to "claim" your listing on TripAdvisor and make it your own (if you have not done so already). There is no cost to do this and it is fast and easy. Simply visit www.TripAdvisor.ca/Owners, create an account, and complete the required information to prove your authenticity as the "owner" of the listing. Once your claim has been approved, you can then manage your TripAdvisor listing with edits going into effect immediately.
A new Tourism Business Portal will be available in May 2018 at DestinationBC.net. Through this portal, you can easily log-in and add the following to your basic TripAdvisor listing:
telephone number and email address
social media channels
up to two videos and
a booking URL if available
DestinationBC.net is temporarily closed during this transition period, with the portal being available as soon as the new consumer site goes live in May 2018. The Tourism Business Portal will have comprehensive FAQs and learning tools related to the new TripAdvisor partnership and other topics related to a HelloBC.com listing.
