Help us pitch BC’s Tourism Sector to the World: Beautiful Seats

While Vancouver will roar to life in 2026 as FIFA World Cup 26™ matches light up BC Place—beyond the pitch, British Columbia offers an equally thrilling point of view. The best seats are found on windswept ridges, along rocky shorelines, and beneath the quiet hush of old-growth trees.

Thousands of fans will compete for a seat at BC Place during the World Cup, but not all will get tickets.

However, with your content, Destination BC can extend its Beautiful Seats campaign, to show the world that British Columbia offers another kind of seat, a beautiful seat, with a breathtaking view of our province.

Why participate?

FIFA World Cup is the world’s most watched sporting event, with a global audience of approximately five billion viewers.

The first phase of our Beautiful Seats campaign, launched in May 2025, reached millions across digital video, TV, social media, and media partnerships. The campaign video alone was viewed over 26 million times, in China, the UK and Germany. During May and June alone, the campaign generated a 56% increase in searches for “Vancouver World Cup” from the UK, and a 100% increase in searches for the term “FIFA Vancouver” from Germany and over 200% from the UK.

Your content could be featured in international campaigns, print, platforms, and events.

What we’re looking for:

  • Content that clearly shows a ‘seat’ in British Columbia: horseback riding through a valley, mountain biking down a rugged trail, taking in a stunning view from a park bench, relaxing on a beach blanket on a sunny shore…you get the picture!
  • Photos and/or short video clips.
  • New material or existing content from your image bank is welcome.
  • Provide the highest resolution you have available.
  • Both horizontal and vertical formats are encouraged.
  • Authentic, natural images work best, whether people-centred or place-centred.
  • Vertical formats are strong for social media, while horizontal formats are often used in campaign and media placements.

Share your Beautiful Seat photos or videos with us by November 30, 2025. It’s a simple, free and powerful way to put your destination in front of a global audience.
