Destination BC Launches Partnership Opportunities: 2024-25 Resident Perceptions of Tourism Research Survey

Launching in fall 2024, Destination BC’s 2024-25 Resident Perceptions of Tourism Research Survey offers partnership opportunities for Regional and City Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) in BC to help deepen their understanding of how residents view tourism in their communities. Are you an RDMO or CDMO that’s interested in partnering with us to enhance your resident perceptions insights and benefit your community?

Partnership Opportunity #1

  • Eligibility: Larger communities with over 100 respondents in last year’s survey.
  • Opportunity: Purchase 1-3 specific community-specific questions or add a sample specific to your needs for inclusion in our survey. Receive detailed analysis and reporting.
  • Community-Specific Data: Questions added will directly target your community, ensuring focused insights.
  • Sample Availability: Subject to research panel availability in your area.
  • Deadline: Contact [email protected] by June 15, 2024, to participate.

Partnership Opportunity #2

  • Eligibility: Communities currently conducting their own Resident Perceptions of Tourism research.
  • Opportunity: Align your research efforts with our survey to enhance data consistency between what Destination BC asks in our survey and what you ask in yours.
  • Alignment Focus: We encourage aligning with the ‘Key 15 questions’ outlined in Destination BC’s Resident Perceptions of Research Toolkit.
  • Cost: Destination BC will generate a free Snapshot Series report based on the data you share with us.
  • Sample Size: Ideal sample size is 200+ completed surveys, minimum for reporting is 100.
  • Deadline: Contact [email protected]  by July 15, 2024, to discuss integration for the 2024-25 research cycle.

  • Eligibility: Communities new to conducting Resident Perceptions of Tourism research.
  • Opportunity: Receive guidance on launching this valuable research in your community.
  • Resources: Start with Destination BC’s Resident Perceptions of Tourism Research Toolkit to understand the fundamentals, step by step process(es), and best practices.
  • Deadline: Contact [email protected]  by July 15, 2024, to begin your journey into community and resident focused tourism research for the 2024-25 cycle.
