Statement from Destination BC on the Tragedy at the Lapu Lapu Day Event

We extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by the tragic incident that occurred Saturday evening at the Lapu Lapu Day Festival. We are heartbroken to learn of the loss of life and the profound impact this tragedy will have on individuals, families, and the city as a whole.

We stand in solidarity with British Columbia’s Filipino community during this incredibly difficult time, and will continue to honour the spirit of unity, resilience, and compassion that defines our province.
