Destination BC has a well-developed program to work with travel media – journalists or outlets who specialize in telling travel and lifestyle stories – to create exposure for BC as a destination of choice. Travel media relations is an essential marketing channel to tell our brand story, build awareness, and encourage travellers to visit BC.

Falling, flying, figuring it out: Snowboarding at midlife in Revelstoke
Alexandra Pope, Canadian Geographic
In April 2025, Destination BC supported flights for Canadian Geographic staff writer Alexandra Pope to visit Revelstoke Mountain Resort for a snowboarding-focused experience. Her digital story is now live, with an additional feature scheduled to appear in the January/February 2026 print edition of Canadian Geographic.
