Why We Rendez-vous: BC Steps Onto the Global Tourism Stage at RVC 2025

From May 28–30, Destination BC and our industry partners will be in Winnipeg for Rendez-vous Canada 2025 (RVC), Canada’s signature international travel trade marketplace—a powerful platform to connect with global travel trade and media, a vital part of how we grow BC’s visitor economy.

Each year, RVC brings together hundreds of qualified international buyers with Canada’s most compelling tourism sellers. For British Columbia, it’s more than a tradeshow. It’s where relationships are built, deals are made, and BC’s tourism stories come to life on a global stage.

Team BC, Ready to Lead

Once again, Destination BC is proud to lead Team BC — our largest-ever provincial delegation, including all six tourism regions, six CDMOs, Indigenous Tourism BC (ITBC), and 94 tourism businesses. We’re bringing bold ideas, unforgettable experiences, and a strong provincial presence that will be hard to miss.

Our goal? Showcase what makes BC different: from Indigenous-led cultural journeys and nature-based adventures to sustainable accommodations and world-class attractions. Whether returning to RVC to nurture relationships or attending for the first time to break into new markets, our sellers are ready to do business — and drive results for their communities.

Why We Attend

RVC is a cornerstone of BC’s travel trade strategy. It offers direct access to the international tour operators and travel media who shape consumer travel decisions in key markets like the UK, Germany, Australia, China, Mexico, and beyond.

These one-on-one meetings don’t just create leads — they drive business. They help BC sellers grow their international reach, diversify their audiences, and welcome more visitors who are seeking meaningful, experience-rich travel.

But our presence at RVC is also about long-term impact. Amid global uncertainty, Canada continues to be seen as a safe, welcoming, and desirable destination. For British Columbia, this is a moment to claim more market share — especially as domestic travel trends shift and international travellers look for destinations that offer connection, culture, and sustainability. BC delivers on all fronts.

What We’re Showcasing

BC’s delegation will spotlight diverse tourism offerings — from family-run wilderness lodges and Indigenous-led experiences to accessible nature-based adventures and boutique city stays.

We’ll also leverage this high-profile platform to promote the FIFA World Cup 2026™ as a once-in-a-generation opportunity to attract global audiences to British Columbia. Our activation will offer a preview of what’s possible: how BC’s landscapes, communities, and tourism offerings can extend the excitement far beyond the stadium.

What’s Next

From May 28 to 30, follow Destination BC on LinkedIn for highlights from RVC 2025 — including partner stories, emerging trends, and how BC is making an impact.

After the event, we’ll share success stories from Team BC sellers, explore what’s ahead for travel trade, and continue our mission to strengthen and grow a resilient visitor economy.
