Destination BC’s Destination Management team employs a combination of strategic planning, industry learning, cooperative programming, and visitor services, to support a strong and competitive future for BC’s tourism industry, improve the guest experience, and strengthen BC’s worldwide reputation as a destination of choice.

The team includes experts in destination and industry development, cooperative destination marketing, and visitor services. We work in collaboration with other parts of government, communities, destination management organizations, sectors, and operators to enhance the global competitiveness of BC’s travel experiences. Our destination management strategy is focused on supporting Destination BC’s Corporate Strategy by:

  • Creating remarkable visitor experiences to secure the highest net promoter score in North America
  • Increasing the economic, social, and environmental benefits of tourism throughout BC, to ensure the industry is widely regarded as a high-value contributor to the economy, and social and cultural fabric of the province.

We know that deep, collaborative partnerships with a network of operators, regions, communities, and industry partners across Canada will enhance the strength of the tourism industry in BC.
