Destination BC is bringing the province’s Visitor Services Network together in spring 2026 through a series of regional meetings designed to strengthen collaboration, share best practices, and support consistent, high quality visitor experiences throughout British Columbia.
Taking place in five communities, these in person sessions provide a valuable opportunity for visitor centre teams to connect, learn from one another, and consider how to collectively enhance visitor services in their destinations.
Meeting Schedule
The sessions will span two days in the following locations:
Bringing the Network Together
Attendees for the majority of sessions include staff from Destination BC’s Visitor Services team, Visitor Centre Managers and Supervisors, sponsor organization contacts, and invited representatives from Regional Destination Management Organizations.
A Shared Commitment to Exceptional Visitor Experiences
While each visitor centre serves its own community, the network is united by a shared goal to ensure every visitor to BC receives consistent, reliable, and exceptional service, no matter where they travel. These meetings play an important role in advancing that goal.
They create space for visitor centre teams, many of which are small organizations, to connect directly with peers, exchange ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences. This collaborative approach strengthens the overall network and helps support a seamless visitor journey from one community to the next.
Key Topics and Discussions
This year’s sessions focus on practical, peer driven learning, with participants leading conversations and sharing insights across several key areas:
Based on participant feedback, this year also introduces host community experiences, giving participants the opportunity to visit local attractions, visitor centres, and information kiosks.
This addition, alongside the extended two-day format, provides valuable on the ground insight into how visitor services are delivered in different communities, helping participants identify ideas they can adapt and apply in their own organizations.
Building a Connected Visitor Services Network
Strong collaboration within the visitor services network is essential to delivering the kind of experience that encourages visitors to stay longer, return, and recommend BC to others.
Through these regional meetings, Destination BC continues to support a connected, knowledgeable Visitor Services Network that delivers quality experiences for visitors across BC.
