Destination BC, in collaboration with the Tourism Industry Association of British Columbia (TIABC), is pleased to introduce the 2026 BC Tourism Week Toolkit, now available to help industry partners across the province prepare for Tourism Week, taking place April 20–24, 2026.
Tourism Week, led nationally by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), is an annual opportunity to celebrate the people, businesses, and communities that power Canada’s visitor economy. This year’s national theme, Canada: Powered by Tourism, highlights the essential role tourism plays in strengthening communities, creating meaningful employment, and driving sustainable economic growth.
The BC Tourism Week Toolkit has been developed to complement the national campaign while specifically reflecting the priorities, strengths, and contributions of British Columbia’s tourism industry.
Jointly created by Destination BC and TIABC, the toolkit includes customizable, BC-branded resources designed to help tourism businesses, DMOs, and other partners showcase the positive impacts of tourism in their regions and communities:
Ready-to-use graphics about the value of tourism, tailored for presentations or social media, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
Aligned with the national Tourism Week narrative, while highlighting BC-specific data and industry priorities.
Themed story ideas for each day of the tourism week celebrations.
Suggested copy about the power and value of BC’s tourism economy.
Watch and share stories on the value of tourism from the Tourism Industry Association of BC.
Insights and statistics about BC’s geography, people, and value of tourism.

Tourism is a vital part of BC’s economy and identity, supporting more than 16,000 businesses and contributing $23 billion in annual revenue. It also helps build vibrant communities, preserves culture, enhances visitor experiences, and creates jobs for British Columbians.
By using the toolkit, industry partners can support the national Tourism Week momentum while authentically sharing BC’s unique tourism story.
