This April, the BC Wine Institute (BCWI) celebrated the second year of BC Wine Month, an initiative that showcases the quality and diversity of B.C. wine through tastings, educational seminars, promotions and events across the province.
Destination BC is proud to support BC Wine Month and the province’s booming wine industry. This year, the BCWI was one of 57 successful applicants to the Co-op Marketing Partnership program, and will receive funding for numerous marketing activities – such as BC Wine Month – throughout 2019/20.
In addition, BC Wine Month is supported by Destination BC’s Explore BC campaign, an initiative targeted at B.C. residents that aims to drive shoulder season travel within the province. Since BC Wine Month is well-aligned with the objectives of Explore BC, Destination BC implemented tactics to support the campaign such as a two-page print ad in Edible Vancouver’s “Wine Touring Guide”; carousel and ad links on Facebook and Instagram; and native and display ads on Google DV360.
