Over the past two months, Destination BC has launched three new HelloBC websites targeted to key travel markets, which feature travel ideas, language and integration points unique to each market.
Users in these markets can access Google Maps with functionality cues and labelling in the local language. Business listings and TripAdvisor API are also integrated with each site, and are presented as English business name titles and descriptions with call-to-action labels and category information written in the local language. Consumers can also engage through connections to market-specific social channels such as Weibo, WeChat and Youku, and can find local tour operators that offer travel to B.C.]
