Model Consent and Release

As per the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA), Destination BC’s Consent and Release form is required for all recognizable individuals. This release allows you to share images or video with Destination BC; it also permits Destination BC to publish any image or video that includes recognizable faces.

You are responsible for providing on-camera talent with a Production/Campaign Reference before they complete the form. This field allows us to identify all the Consent and Release forms which will be coming into our central database from partners across the province. Please follow this convention for creating a Production/Campaign Reference: [Organization Name] – [Project Name] [Month] [Year].

The form includes optional self-identity questions, which allow models to indicate dimensions of their identity they would like associated with their assets on the BC Content Hub.

Our pdf Consent and Release form is still valid and can be used in situations where the online form isn’t feasible.
